Can Death Stop God?

Many Christians have been taught that salvation is only on this side of the grave. That means God is helpless to save on the other side of death. Michelle Amirault with Tentmaker Ministries...

The "other side of death" is non-existence until the resurrection of
the bad and good. (Acts 24:15) Yes, non-existence:

-- New King James
Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die; but the dead
know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is
forgotten.

and...

-- King James
Psalms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in
that very day his thoughts perish.

and Jesus... (John 11:11-14)

11. These things He said, and after that He said to them, "Our
friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.''
12. Then His disciples said, "Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.''
13. However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was
speaking about taking rest in sleep.
14. Then Jesus said to them plainly, "Lazarus is dead.

So in summary:

"the dead know nothing" (Ec 9:5)
the dead "thoughts perish." (Ps 146:4)
the dead are like 'asleep'. (John 11:11-14)

Sincerely James

Positive, because of the scriptures.

Savior, God (Titus 1:3)
“But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is
committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;” (Tit
1:3)

Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13)
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God
and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” (Tit 2:13)

Right there you just showed everyone that Jesus is God.

“Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great
God and Savior Jesus Christ, (Tit 2:13)

And you neglected to bring up was shown to you from scripture about “no
other Saviour”.

“Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told
this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, Jehovah? And there is no
other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides
me.” (Isa 45:21)

And in the LXX is this,

“If they will declare, let them draw nigh, that they may know together, who
has caused these things to be heard from the beginning: then was it told you.
I am God, and there is not another beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there
is none but me.” (Isa 45:21)

And here, from King David, who is speaking of his heir to be, Jesus, and will
be totally fulfilled at the end of the Great Tribulation, which Jesus taught
about.

Psa 110:1A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right
hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Psa 110:2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou
in the midst of thine enemies.

Psa 110:3Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties
of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Psa 110:4The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thouart a priest for ever
after the order of Melchizedek.

Psa 110:5The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of
his wrath.

Psa 110:6He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the
dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

Psa 110:7He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up
the head.

Therefore, if you believe ALL the scriptures then you must agree with all the
scripture in this reply.

Jesus ended death as it was known by going to Sheol and changing the way
things went about. If he didn't die, he couldn't have gone to Sheol. THose

Yes! He was made to be sin for all of us and He paid the Ransom Price for all
who seek salvations promise, for us in this life as well as our eternal life.

It is the gift of God, freely given and not of the works of man. Hence no
penance in the afterlife.

He gave man freewill to decided their ending, He did everything he could to
save them from themselves, but some would rather serve the god of their
making than Him. They were all warned.

Choose this day whom you will serve.

“But if it seem not good to you to serve the Lord, choose to yourselves
this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods of your fathers that were on
the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, among whom ye dwell
upon their land: but I and my house will serve the Lord, for he is holy.”
(Jos 24:15)
